I like Tes games in general because they let you `Cheat`.

I don`t mean cheat in using the console to kill something easily or make a an overpowered mod (something I never do), but in using your wits to overcome a difficult foe- or even avoid him altogther.

*****Possible spoiler, but I`m careful to leave out significant stuff.****

I came across a Dragon (quite to my surprise) while travelling doing a job for someone. I saw it had a chest behind it and a wall Shout thingy. Me wanted.

I knew there was no way I could defeat this thing with my meagre potions and skills with no backup (I have the Deadly dragons Hard Mod). But then I had an idea.

As the Dragon flew up into the air as I knew it would. I used my Shout sprint to shoot forward underneath and behind it. There was a chest and a wall with a Shout written in. So I took precious moments soaking that up and then grabbed the loot in the chest.

Then the Dragon came round and fired his frosty flakes at me. I took all the health I could and resist frost potion then legged it. I couldn`t Shout sprint, so dodged and weaved and just as he was going to breath on me, I jumped down the mountain side like a speeding bunny! carefully I kept jumping down bit by bit, taking blind spots where the Dragon couldn`t get a straight shot and then ran away!

And it worked. I really thought the Dragon would pursue me to the ends of Skyrim, but it didn`t.

It`s nice when you can get round a tough situation without having to try and kill a ridiculously tough that`ll just kill you. :)

I`m sure other people have found smart ways to get past a difficult situation?

I never run from Dragon battles, doesn't mean I always fight them myself though. I ran into an Ancient Dragon at lv29 with my warrior (who doesn't have bows or magic), no way I could kill him, I had to lure him to a nearby giants camp so I could whack on him while he was busy with the giants and mammoths.

What's the point of installing that dragon mod if you're just going to leg it? :P

The beauty of adding tougher or harder immersion Mods is to face foes and enemies and find ways around defeating them. Eventually, when I get to level 40 or 50 i`ll be strong enough to stand my ground to a Dragon, but right now I must avoid or get the help of a city of guards for help.

A wise fighter when facing a foe he can`t beat knows to run away and come back later. A foolish fighter stays and fights no matter what and dies. Horribly.

But some of you miss the point. I got what I came for and will be rewarded handsomely on my return. i`ll deal with the Dragon later.
