So I just loaded up my game to test out a beta mod, had to FT to Riverwood to grab the items I needed. Normally I wouldn't FT, but I just wanted to re-purchase the new version. As I arrive in Riverwood, I spawn with no less than 10 Bandit Marauders... and a frost troll.

They proceed to attack everyone in Riverwood, killing pretty much anyone who is killable, Camilla, her brother, the blacksmith guy, Faendel... even Sven gets jobbed whilst running away. So, like what gives? I have reloaded and FT'd to Riverwood 3 times and every time, it occurs, at first it was hilarious, now it's just getting annoying. I want my damn camping kit and I don't see why a whole town has to die for it?


This is like the proverbial tree falling in a forest, if I FT somewhere else, will the Riverwood Massacre not occur?
Well, I have also Fast Travelled to differenet remote locations, whereupon they spawn with me. I cast Harmony on that mob and FT'd to Riverwood... only to AGAIN have the same crew spawn with me.

I don't have any mods that affect encounters, except for the Legendary Creatures mod, which this is definately not causing this!

Any input / ideas regarding solving this would be much appreciated.

seems like you're not the only one whos after that camping kit...

have you trried uninstalling the mod and seeing if the problem is still there? or maybe check on the comments for the mod to see if other people have the same issue. could be possible that the modder did this on purpose

I uninstalled my previous version and got this latest version from the creator early to Beta test, no one else other than the creator and myself has this version so no one would have these issues. I have followed this mod and gotten to know the creator, there isn't anything in this camping kit mod that would react in this way.

I think it is just the script being a dike and creating a random mob because this is, probably only the 2nd or 3rd time I've FT'd on this save. I ended up just ridiing to Riverwood as I would normally. Never fast travelling again

Yeah Ft'n there is proably giving you a big fight. Kinda ironic - you need to get to riverwood and that mob is certainly a constant. I think this is what you get for FT'n. You have a few choices..... FT again and be screwed , walk and see the difference (I feel there will be one) or say "[censored] DAT CAMPING SET!.....

FT kills games - be wary

I seem to recall someone on these foroums making a thread complaining about this very thing, except the lack of it! it was totally bizarre but hey, I'm not complaining. It's nice this game does things to make me go Derp!

No way not having that camping kit as an option, considering I was asked to Beta test it, I'd like to actually do that!

As I stated in my OP, I don't normally FT, it was just to get the new equipment real quick so I could play with it.
