I think mods are starting to come to fruition

My gaming experience is getting better. It's actually now viable to play a no fast travel character with mods that make educated horses, store things on your horse, more alchemy ingredients (seriously you have to make like a million fast travel trips to get enough ingredients), better looking DB armor, adding music instead of those long silences in dungeons and on the road, more kill-moves, auto-uneqip arrows (seriously, so annoying), nature sounds, etc. etc.

The game is very much viable to play a no fast travel character without mods. I have no trouble with it. But to each his own :)

I'm only using the dungeon and nature sounds mods. 99% of what's out there is absolute garbage or pure fluff.

The modding community still has a long way to go.

Oh, look! Another thread bashing mods and the modders. How original. Let me aks you guys a question. Since you believe the mods that are out there are "garbage", then why do console owners want to be able to use mods?

I never said the mods were garbage, only that I have no need for any. And as a console owner... I couldn't care less if we get mods or not. Had no interest for them on PC so I won't have any interest in them on console either.

I think DarNoor is probably referring to the ignorant statements made in posts #3 and #4.

I know but he called the whole thread a bashing thread so I felt the need to reply.

Agreed. IMO of the vanilla games (Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim) Skyrim is the best all around to play vanilla.... maybe Morrowind for a tie. However I do love me some mods I am interested to see all that are available by November this year.

Educated Horses should be everyone's top priority for anyone wanting to add any mods. Horses are ridiculously stupid in the vanilla game.

And by the way, I really hate alchemy. I tried to give alchemy another try on this playthrough, but I was reminded of how a pain in the butt it is and just made me miss restoration.

I've rather just buy poisons and use restoration....seriously.

SkyUI is a great mod... it only makes the interface eaiser to navigate. There are two flaws to alchemy as I see it... missing ingredients (pearls, and powered mammoth tusks et al.) that should be resources in the game, and the wonky interface for storing and retreaving reagents from your storage.

The Mod community has achieved a heluva lot already. I have almost everything I need from Realistic Needs, immersive wilderness and cave sounds to 1st person views on horses.

All I`m really waiting for now are immersive Follower mods like some of the wonders I`ve had in Oblivion and especially FO3. FO3 had some of the best personalised mods I`ve ever seen.
