Can't get back into Skyrim.

What I mean is that I'm having a hard time keeping myself entertained. Usually what I do is just get in the game, walk maybe 100 yards then turn the game off. How do you stay busy after completing everything?

Make a new character and roleplay a bit.

This is why I have about 30 odd games for the PS3, so when a game does become tedious you can play another. Some times it's better to just walk away.

Yeah.... I randomly turned on an old PC game just to get away from Skyrim for a little and it worked. I was worried I wouldn't keep playing the character I have now but I'm back and I feel good about it. Maybe like mcleod said, just walk away for a little.

dan-

i went through a period like that, as well. what i found was that, due to the lacking gameplay mechanics of skyrim, i had to ensure that i was strictly rping my character.

and, i'm talking strict. otherwise, it was a grind and filled with meaningless combat and quests, etc.

personally, i've gotten a lot of great, SPECIFIC, rping advice from different threads and applied them. and, created my own.

the obvious shortcomings of skyrim aren't gone, but, i'm enjoying the game even more despite all of them.

examples: no hud (i'm almost used to not seeing the auto-bars now and guesstimating their increases), printed map i fill in instead of in-game, only smith what you mine/hunt, do not re-enchant if your character isn't in to magic/enchanting, can't open certain locks until trained, don't even bother with ingredients/quests etc. if they don't apply to your character build, etcetcetc.

edit: and, lol, just come to terms with skyrim not being all you thought it would be

You aren't bored with the game, you're bored with your character. Start a new one.
