first of all i know there are threads about this, but i coulnt find them again. anyways i was gonna make anew character that is supposed to be a abandit (thief and assassin later in the game) and i was wondering how long it took for items and npcs to respawn as i was gonna use one of the bandit places as my base.

I think 30 in-game days from the time you entered the area

I wouldn't risk storing any items in outside containers at any of those bandit camps if I were you!

if on pc you can download skyrim respawn mod and set the timer to what you wish. i have it set to respawn after 1 day. everything outside respawns including chests and most dungeons respawn but some do not

do not store your gear in any chests outside because you will lose them

Yea, about 30 days like they say. Anything put in chests in places like dungeons etc that are not your home will be `stolen`, ie gone after a period of time (unless you sit there guarding it maybe), so no, using a bandit lair to store things is a bad idea.

If you're confident you can keep track of time and make sure you're within the cell frequently, then sure go for it, sounds like a great RP idea to me!

Even if you do lose track of time, you can play it that you were robbed. Proceed to hunting anyone nearby and torturing them for information on who robbed your stash :D
