Where are my beautiful Khajiit?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 3:13 am

Khajiit caravans are arriving at their destination and setting up camp.

The Khajiit themselves aren't...

Is it possible for an entire caravan to be wiped out enroute to a destination? Or is it possible for the Khajiit to be traveling at a different "pace" to the campsite?

N.B:
I only have two mods active that could have removed them from the game. Wars in Skyrim: Dark Rainbow and Travelers and Adventurers.

I don't know the answer to this question, but I have a related question.
Is there any way to find out where the caravan is supposed to be? Like, will guards or anyone mention them?

There is a tent set up outside Riften, and I've seen a tent set up outside Solitude. Generally when the Khajiit are camped outside a city the tent is set up, and when they depart, the tent disappears again.

I never Fast travel and was walking up a steep road when I came across two Khajitt caravans that had been slaughtered. They were 3-4 dead Khajitts bodies and a couple of dead horses.Stuff was all over the place. I too had noticed a lack of Khajitts at the tents lately. When I saw this I was actually quite sad. I couldn`t find clues who had done this so I just assumed it must be bandits.

However, about a week later there were some new Khajitts at the tents again!

Really?? Good to know :) However I am aware that some Khajiit caravans visit the same locations at different times.

Yes they do. But they can also be killed as well.

Shows how dangerous Skyrim is to travel.

Silly people. The dead khajits on the road are actually in fact a little easter egg, per se. Like the dead Redguard outside Markarth with the note telling her husband to travel safe.

I like to think it`s the Khajit got killed on the road thing and would prefer not to be given spoilers or be called silly.

Except for Ri'Saad. According to UESP, he's unkillable.

The destroyed caravan is set up as destroyed, the moving ones don't use horses or wagons and I have run into them some times along the road.

One thief guild quest ask you to contact an caravan member and make it show up on the road.
Might be an idea with an moded quest who do nothing than showing their location.

The khajit caravaneers are unkillible. They fought an elder dragon in my game and spent lots of time on their knees but never died. I also found the empty tents outside Solitude once but since then I've found the Khajit still traveling about and camping.

I found the slaughtered caravans also. One at least has Falmer arrows laying about and a Falmer cave nearby.

I sometimes get a problem where everything around cities takes time to load up - tents, NPCs etc. Wait a few minutes and seen if they show up if you haven't already.
