Half an hour of pure awesome random events

This is probably the most fun sitting I've had in the game. Wall of text incoming.

First I pick up a quest in Whiterun (Gildergreen) and start to head out when I'm approached by Maurice who is a monk and wants to come with me and Lydia. Fine, the more the merrier. On the way there we get attacked by a High Elf for whatever reason. We quickly take care of him and Maurice starts jabbering about some filth and orc scum or something. I turn around to face Maurice and he picks up a shiny new axe. Nice. I then turn around to loot the dead high elf but he's nowhere to be seen..

Ok moving on, I spot in the corner of my eye a body floating down the lake and being chased by 3-4 hungry mudcrabs. Aha! It must be the dead elf. After http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/523780343938832160/08E5CD21533BD3753A77D23720F9BB7A8E4DCB36/ we move on, only to be approached by bandits who, instead of attacking, demand a fee for using "their road". After a failed intimidation attempt, we have a fight on our hands yet again. Maurice at this point is again shouting something about filthy orcs, I dont think he likes them very much.

Some time later down the road and closer to our destination, we see an ice mage chasing a rabbit and blasting every spell he can, yet the rabbit somehow manages to dodge his attacks and it looks so goofy that we almost die laughing. We have no choice but to kill the mage as me and Lydia both hate them very very much.

Now I notice that Maurice is missing. So me and Lydia move down the road only to hear Maurice screaming something and then he literally comes flying through the air. He picked a fight with a giant and lost.

I left out the random assasination attempt, but it was there.
I then quit the game, too much fun in one go

Spoiler
You should resurrect Maurice; you'll need him in the Gildergreen cavern... Without him your quest will get ugly. ;)

That is great stuff. When a good open world design meets randomness.

Maurice dying doesn't break the quest. You just have to do it otherwise and it gets ugly (mainly loss of innocent lives).
