Living Inn

Is it possible to live out an Inn? If permanently rent out a room can I place my things around the room and they'll be okay? If I'm living in the Inn then I wont need to worry about my items getting lost and everything resetting.

Unless their's a mod, I don't think Inn's are on the list of "safe" houses/places to store things http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Houses#Other_shelters that's the only thng I could find about Inn's http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Houses If you look on the right hand side their is a box with places other than houses.

You should be able to pay in advance for a set amount of nights spent, the NPC would say to you on the final day as an additional greeting "Staying with us longer?" or something along those lines, really wouldn't be that hard to do with the CK.

That's how it was in Arena and Daggerfall... Good games, but very primitive.

Problem is I'm on a console. The idea was to be a traveling treasure hunter/scholar, leaving piles of books everywhere and the things I'd pick up on my traveling. I'd move from city to city making Inns my base camp.

Another great "you should be able to" post, but you have to realize the game is what it is. It's not real life. It's not negotiable at this point what the game can do. There's a gazillion things that "you should be able to do" that the game simply doesn't allow for. I should be able to destroy the Dragon Bridge... permanantly. I should be able to set up a farm and grow my own crops. I should be able to try to thwart both sides in the civil war. I should be able to give a begger 100,000 septims and let him buy a house and a shop and become a rich man. It's even fun to look at all the various things I "should be able to do".

If you want the freedom to do things like this, get into table top roleplaying and find a DM who can handle you.

I was asking if it was possible, I wasn't even having a moan. Maybe you should read and process what I was asking it before you reply.
