Personal Quest idea (Consoles!) not ck

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:01 am

Ok so i'm just playing skyrim and i got thinking... what was i doing last time i played? i know it had something to do with this place... but what? so i had an idea, what if we could make our own quests? not creation kit powerful, maybe like a journal lay out? it could work like this.

Quest name
*insert it here*
Steps
Here you would put details down such as go to _____, or talk to _____ or Sell _____
you could have up to 10 steps. The steps will have blue quest icons, it will look like the normal quest icon just blue. *note* you can't have a step bring you to no were, it has to be a location like one of the holds or another map icon.
Overview
Here it will tell what your goal is (which you type out [i.e sell silver sword of frostbite, enter bilegulch mine, create orcish sword, talk to Alvor] then as you complete the task's it will cross them off.

Note that this will not be near as powerful as the CK but it is for consoles. if your wondering how you would search and find people you first narrow it down by which hold their in, then race, then city, whiterun, riverwood etc
same goes for the sell or create weapons, pick either armor or weapon then what material.
You cannot set rewards for completion.

What do you think?

you can only have one personal quest made at a time, if you want to make a new one, you have to either finish the first one, or quit it.
Edit: you can only select people to talk to that are merchants or quest starters.

I imagine the most common answer people would be thinking is "No incentive".
Because the idea of doing anything other than just following the rules set out by the game engine is completely beyond the creative thinking ability of.... well, almost everyone who plays Skyrim. Almost.

I kinda do that now but in my head I don't bother writing it down or anything. I usually pic a cave or fort that I want to clear then I randomly pic a town to go off load the goodies.

Half the quests I do in this game were not created by Bethesda.

not for me.

I enjoy doing the quest's not building my own. I appreciate the thought, but I just don't see this being beneficial enough to bother with. IF you could create you're own unique reward, item/armor/weapon then I'd be interested though.

Searching for the Gray Fox

Become Thieves Guild Leader

Maiq the Liar could active the quest somehow saying a rumor that the Gray Fox is captured in Skyrim somewhere.
