That's the question, my monitor has a native resolution of 1920 by 1200 but that doesn't appear in the options for Skyrim.

It's what I use for every other game I run?

Any help appreciated.

Not even if you choose the right aspect ratio in the drop down menu?

This. Make sure the aspect ratio is on 16:`10 otherwise it won't show up.

I figured it out, even though my Monitor is 1920 by 1200 my TV which is also hooked to my computer is 1920 by 1080.

Once I went into display settings and disabled the TV 1920 by 1200 became available in the games options.

I had a similar problem recently installing Windows 8.
When I got to the desktop after installation it was black.

It took me a week to figure out that the signal was going to my TV via the HDMI cable by default.
I reinstalled 3 times, before turning on the TV an seeing my desktop there.

It always pays, in the event of any problem with pc's, to turn things off and turn things on.
