On January 10th I started my epic no Fast Travel quest and I am still going. I have over 230 hours clocked and as ever I have been keeping an almost daily blog of my adventures. I must say seriously this game deserves to played properly in my opinion. I have had less pauses or lags and the game has not frozen on me once this time round. No Fast Travel also makes less Dragons spawn but you still encounter them and you can go after them when you see them. Blog links included below...

I've tried lately to use my horse and travel the roads to get where I'm going as opposed to fast-traveling. It is fun but I can't commit fully to it.

Congrats dude. I have stop fast traveling myself since my last two characters, and continue to not do so on my current imperial soldier roleplay. I've even restricted myself to walking more often. Anyways, I'll check out your blog.

on my opinion, fast traveling single handedly turned this series into the shallow corpse of what it used to be. it all started with oblivion, and it's gone downhill since. don't get me wrong, i love skyrim, but it would be so much more epic if fast travel wasn't an option. they would have spent more time making the world beautiful. not that it isn't beautiful, it is, but it could have been better. and no, i do not use fast travel, i walk everywhere.

lol. I find it funny that someone needs to make a whole thread to celebrate not Fast Travelling. I`ve never Fast travelled since it was invented in Oblivion years ago!

But well done anyway, maybe it will encourage more people to try not F\Ting.

Maybe even Bethesda will get rid of it eventually and allow people to just use Horses or Carts instead.

Making a "whole thread" on an internet forum is hardly a BIG thing my friend! From what I know most people use Fast Travel and since I always had it kinda was a BIG deal for me not to.

Depends on if they make the world amazingly large as the did in Daggerfall more than likely. Simply walking anywhere in that game was annoying if you had a set destination.

But if they keep things small, then go ahead. The world is nice to see. Well, maybe for the occasional egotistical duelist you may find.
