What Skyrim can learn from Dark Souls

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:06 pm

....Everything...Especially weapons and combat.

There are not only tons of different types of weapons but they function differently.

Combat is way more realistic.

Enemies are actually challenging and fun to fight.

More does not mean better.

Although I do agree that Skyrim is far to easy.

This is a bit off-topic, but is Dark Souls worth it?

The weapon/armor mechanics, and wield style options in that game were nice.

Quick question have they topped 1mil total sales worldwide yet.Last I saw the projections were at around 750k.

That being said if there are things that could carryover to TES that would add to the game I would say maybe.
Do I think they would or should try to copypaste DS combat..well take the letter f out of the word weigh.

I'm assuming that you haven't played the game yet.

He wouldn't have asked how it was if he's played it.

You know what you could learn from other posters? Everything.

On a side I'm glad Skyrim isn't like Dark Souls, I don't feel like bashing my head against a wall for 140 hours.

Dark Souls is not as difficult as some would have you believe, so much as most newer games are too easy in comparison. The only way someone would bang their head against the wall for 140+ hours is if they are careless and learned nothing at all from their mistakes.

Yeah, i could move this to CD, but there is a Dark Souls thread there. There are also Dark Souls forums elsewhere, I would imagine. So if you like that game... why are you on the Skryim forum?
