Reading thru my Skyrim Library

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:55 pm

Yesterday, Sunday morning, I woke up and decided to do a bit of reading. Normally, I would roll out of bed and start up Skyrim, and yesterday was no different. I started the game and guided my character down to my "library". In Honeyside (in Riften) I keep my book collection in the cabinet nearest to the fireplace. I decided to do a spot of reading. Before I knew it, I had spent about 4 hours reading the books within the game.

I had done some reading in Skyrim before this, but this was the first time that I spent such a large chunk of time on this endeavor. So, I was just wondering if anyone else spends a lot of time reading? or do you just read the books as you find them? or do you just never do any reading? or something else??

I want to read them as I find them but it's a hassle trying to remember which ones I've read already, included the ones from previous games.
Having a container filled with unread books and another seperate one for the read ones is how I did it before.
Problem is remembering what you have already when you're out adventuring, there's so many damn books!

In fact, does anyone know of a mod that adds a library somewhere with every book in the game? That would be handy.

I usually read the books I find in the game, but most of the books I′ve already read in Oblivion and some even in Morrowind. So no, I don′t spend much time reading books in Skyrim.

I like the idea of separating out the books that have already been read. I think I will start to do that. I will remove all books from my book shelves and only store books that I have read on the actual bookshelves in my homes throughout Skyrim. I really wish I could add as many bookshelves to a home as will fit. I have sooo many books!

I love the books in the game. I like reading the books ithat was in Morrowind and Oblivion again. If the books are rare and my character is a collecter they go in my house if my character is more simple they keep the books they like displayed in their homes.
