Right.... the most popular races are rare in this game unless they are a thief or random attacker.

I know Nivenor, Bolli's wife in Riften.
There's also a serving lady at a certain party.
Spoiler
In the Thalmor Embassy during the MQ Diplomatic Immunity.

Also Wylandriah, the forgetful court mage in Riften.

Its true there isnt very many at all who aren't leveled enemies of some sort, bandits etc. Looking in the CK there's only seven uniquely named female Bosmer in the game...

Seven? I wonder how it breaks down among other races/sixes.

Huh, you're right. I never realized how few of them there are in Skyrim. Weird.

Two are in Laila Law-Giver's household (the jarl of Riften)- Anuriel her steward and Wylandriah, the court mage.

It's because nords don't really like other races, especially the elven races.. I kind of wish that was more felt when you played a race other than nord. But basically I'm happily greeted most everywhere I go with only a few exceptions. There's at least one guy in whiterun that says "phh" and "What do you want little elf?" every time your near him. But heck, even Ulfric will let you fight for him even if your a high elf and the Stormcloak who says "damn elves" at the very beginning of the game will become your best friend and help you escape.

Here's a couple other odd examples of races where females seem abit sparse:

There's only six uniquely named female Argonians.
Nine uniquely named female Khajiit.

Most of the other races seem fairly well populated, considering the past games numbers iirc.

Its also interesting to note that unlike female Bosmer, female Argonians and Khajiit dont seem to be included in any of the standard leveled enemy lists.

You forgot Redguard females and Orc females, they are both pretty sparse as well. Skyrim has very slim picking for non Nords.

Yeah, there arent too many of them as well. 19 Female Redguards and 26 Female Orcs. At least the Redguards are part of quite a few enemy lists, which gives the illusion that there's more of them around Skyrim in general. That doesnt seem to be the case with the female Orcs.
