Spoilers within spoilers?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 2:52 am

There is a post from the forum staff saying to not post spoilers. They talk about stuff that leaked before the release date. But it seems that they don't want any spoilers posted on the general discussion board. Yet, within practically every single thread you see those nifty little spoiler buttons.

Is it acceptable under the forum rules to post specific quest information in that fashion?

Also, how do you do that? :ermm:

I am no expert on rules but to do it you type brackets around the word "spoiler" to start the spoiler and then type brackets around the word "/spoiler" to end it.

Hi,

It is sometimes frowned upon, but you can post spoilers within spoilers (I think). Let's try;

Spoiler
Some spoiler
Spoiler
Some spoiler again

You are also able to use the 'Special BBCode' button on the top left - third in - of the post you are working on panel!

Good to know. Now, is there any spellchecker button? If there is I cannot find it and I am constantly editing posts to fix typos.

Yo dawg I heard you like spoilers...

My rule is, if in doubt, put it in the spoilers forum.

Well, I have posted stuff to that forum. But this is specifically about people posting spoiler type info in the general discussion forum through their use of the these nifty spoiler buttons.
Spoiler
this is where they would put the specifics about any quests they were talking about but didn't want to give anything away. But I click on pretty much all of them even though I know it will almost surely reveal something I didn't know, since I'm still on my first play through of the game.

Only if you need to post a part of spoiler to make a point in a general discussion. However, even then, if you are discussing something that is a spoiler, then post it in the section where it belongs. It is really easy to understand and follow.

Here is the deal. if you think it is a spoiler, then don't post it in General, find or start a thread in Spoilers.

Or, to put it another way, Don't post any spoilers in General, tagged or not.

Seriously tho, some very common threads cannot be discussed without spoilers.

they should include a spoiler tag in the message composing box, and make it obvious.
