If Your Wife Were To "Accidentally" Die

What would happen to the property she owns? Can you still use it? Also if you own a property do you technically have two? I've not done marriage yet so don't know how it works so please post no spoilers.

I wasn't aware that the Elder Scrolls games were a grooming tool for serial killers :o

Normally I don't kill NPC's, I have never played as an assassin character before. But If she has an accident, then so be it.

Skyrim is a harsh land, even more so with the appearance of the Dragons. 'Accidents' happen all the time...

I was thinking more like a chain of very cunning events (Final Destination style) so it could never be linked back to me.

Spoiler
Take her with you(make sure you marry a follower so it is possible) then go fight a dragon. 'Mysteriously' dissapear during the fight after she have its attention then come back later only to find her dead. You are of course devestated by this(and by this I mean the dragon who will be turning its attention to you :P ).

The one problem with that, and it is a very big problem. I haven't activated the Dragons and I never will.

I don't think you can setup a rediculous final destination death event in skyrim but there's many ways not to get your hands dirty. As someone said, leave her near a dragon or take her to go see boethiah.
I wonder if you tell her to wait somewhere will she stay there permanently or will she eventually return home?

You know you can't remarry right? Your vows are for eternity not til death do us part...she'll be waiting in sovngard for you ;)

She'll be waiting a long time. She's a Nord and I'm and Imperial, they won't let me in. :bunny:

I have a similar plan involving Maven Black-Briar. Have a newly released Sibbi lose his mind and attack his mother and Hemming, killing both of them. The Dragonborn manages to save Ingun before Sibbi can kill her as well, and then offers to buy the Black-Briar Meadiry from her so she can focus on her alchemy. Then he gets a hold of Maven's quill and ink, and creates a nice little title for Cidnah Mines and the entirety of the Silver-Blood estate, pulling it out after getting the Silver-Blood patriarch good and drunk.

I know. This is the epilogue to my character's story in Skyrim, after all the other stuff is dealt with. Can't be done in game, but I lived the adventure in my mind. Almost as satisfying.

Right, an "accident." Just one of those unfortunately unpreventable disasters that you coincidentally benefit from... :wink:

Yeah just like a rich older man takes out £6millon life insurance policy and is "accidentally" run down by a runaway steamroller. So the wife gets everything.

I had that happen to me;

My wife fell down the stairs, then hit her head on an Dragonbone Mace, repeatedly. Then fell into the fire in the middle of the room, then she ran to the river just behind our house to douse the flames, only to realise that her arms and legs had been so badly burnt she can no longer move them. She drowned...

A complete accident of course!
