Game version not supported?!

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:53 pm

So i was downloading some mods and i saw that skyrim was downloading something i don't know if it was a new patch but i quess it was. And when i wanted to start Skyrim it gave a critical error saying:

Your game version is NOT supported, supported patches: wel.. all patches till 1.5.26.0

So first i thought it had to do something with a mod i downloaded so i uninstalled skyrim and installed it and is still doesn't work. You guys know what's going on? Is this just something of bethesda and will it work in a few hours or did i do something wrong and do i need to fix something?

Thanks for your effort

That is a ScriptDragon error message. ScriptDragon has not been updated to support 1.6.89.0 yet. You'll either need to disable your ScriptDragon mods, or wait until ScriptDragon updates. Usually that happens within a week or so of a new official build.

The new patch just went live. Had something similar myself. You'll need to start updating your mods that need updated.

ScriptDragon installs by adding a dinput.dll in the game directory which normally wouldn't be there (found usually in the OS directory). This is how it hooks into the game. As long as it is still present, ScriptDragon will attempt to run. Assuming you had ScriptDragon installed in the past.
