So a lot of people do sword & shield character builds but I'm wondering if anyway has tried shield & dagger and whether it works out. I don't exactly know what perks I'll be investing in, but I'll figure out myself. I just want to know if it would be weak. I think it would be cool to be able to block and attack very quickly as well, although only using one dagger seems weak.

Any thoughts/ideas?

It would work fine because you can attack quicker with a dagger than with a sword, you would just have a shorter reach when using a dagger.

Sure just use the Blade of Woe.

Or valdr's lucky dagger (the one with a 5% chance to score a critical hit), Mehrunes razor might be good too. The 1% chance of an insta-kill is pretty rare but sweet when it happens.

Blade of woe is deccent but gets annoying recharging it every frickin minute. I like mehrune's razor just for the six appeal lol
