after some more playing, im getting a little more confused lol

alright, i have quite a few questions, answers to any would be greatly appreciated!
1. Other than powers and a boost in certain skill levels, what other advantages does one race have over another?

skip 2

3. 2 handed magic, worth it?

4. best group to join? as in brotherhood, companions etc

5. I want to make daedric armor and i understand you need to be level 90. do you need to unlock a perk in order to make the armor? if so, do you need to unlock the perks before that one? Do you need to do this for every other skill? hope not...

Thanks again!

1. Not much. Orcs get a bezerk ability, Argonians can breather water and get a super health regen, High Elves get more magicka, etc etc. UESP.net has the lowdown on all the racial abilties.

2. Um, k.

3. A lot of spellcasters love the impact perk with destruction, and I'm pretty sure it boosts the levels with Illusion. If you're dedicated to being a pure mage, I say yes.

4. You can join them all actually. Brotherhood is interesting but not as good as oblivion, thieves guild is as poorly written/scripted as a guild can be, but you can get fun out of all of them.

5. Follow the right-hand side of the smithing tree up. Yes, you have to progress up the tree. Personally I think Daedric is cliche' but hey do what you like.

It's mostly just aesthetics. Which race do you think looks best/which do you relate to more? Other than some once a day powers, the only real difference is some races get elemental resistances/magic resistances, Altmer get an initial 50 magicka boost, Argonian get waterbreathing and Khajiit get nighteye.

3. 2 handed magic, worth it?

Depends on the school.

Dual casting doubles the strength of Illusion spells like fear, calm and frenzy, so if you want to use those spells then dual casting illusion is a must.

For Destruction, dual casting is worth it if you also take the Impact perk, but some consider stunlocking your opponents "cheap." If you do not take Impact, than there is not much point to dual casting Destruction.

For Conjuration and Alteration, dual casting doubles the duration of your spells. May be worth it to some.

I would not take the dual casting perk for Restoration. It is just a magicka drain for healing spells -- better off single casting those with both hands than dual casting them. Unless you plan to use a lot of the turn undead spells in Restoration, dual casting won't do a thing.
