Bugs and Glitches?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:46 am

Hey everybody,

Anybody having troubles with bugs? I am experiencing quite a few bugs, and they aren't game breaking (maybe...) but they occur frequently (are they game breaking then?).

I am tired of this. I understand the 'don't play a game you hate' nonsense but I love supporting rpg-esque game dev's, and leveling up, and I am quite an achievement [censored]!

I have not played through a good two hours of skyrim without experiencing a bug that I cannot find how to fix, unexplained, behaviorial problems of npc's that just get on your nerves, etc.

Just recently after having a long day at work I try to cool off by playing skyrim. Every time I enter the temple of mara to marry this one chick it says I failed the quest and everyone attacks me. I fought this whole dungeon of bandits as they laid down on the ground. I have seen Lydia die over and over and over again because she does not understand what it means to run away.

Is there anyone else having these troubles? Are people okay with this? I am playing the 360 version... but I am not going to go over to PC to play the game with mods.

Point? I have played other games that come out that do have bugs, but are not so frequent and annoying, and coming from Bestheda studios who are well established, it is sad and horribly annoying :/. Yes they are known for bugs in their games, but for my friends to [censored] their pants every time they talk of this game, i don't see it. I don't see how these people can be reverred or this game to be number one game of the holiday season or whatever other titles. I don't see it.

i agree it is very buggy and does take away from the game. But at least its less buggy than oblivion and much less buggy than morrowind so hopefully they continue to get better. by elders scrolls Vii should be almost bug free haha. Just because how good the game is i can deal with the bugs but it would twice as good with no problems

Okay, that is the thing. This game is my first elder scrolls and I was wondering if there was improvements. I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this frustration!

it is not that bad, it is by far the largest game and with all that stuff going around something are bound to not mesh well, not to mention most people do not have problems with bugs and have no idea why people are complaining (the most iv ever seen was a single door for a quest not opening, a reload fixed it, all the others were the funny things todd said he'd keep in)

Two hours doesn't seen right to have so many bugs as you are having.... Did you install the game to the hard drive? are you on the current 1.4 patch?

I would uninstall everything and start over. I had about 250 hours before the bugs began in ernest, Honestly, up till then, I don't believe I had any of note!

I hope it gets sorted out for you. If it works relatively well, Skyrim is a great experience!

No game breaking bugs so far in 170+ hours.

Only minor stuff as floating weapons, a bandit that instead of dying got locked in running animation, a flying horseman. They are annoying but so few and far between that I don't care.

While i must say that skyrim is THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. The "glitches" or "bugs" can really get annoying... How about this when i equip my Morieki mask and my Arch Mage Robes, my characters head totally disappears. I am the headless hooded mage from winterhold college! It actually looks kinda cool. But it still pisses me off.
