Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 2:27 pm

so i've done both the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quest lines and just curious cause im to indecisive to choose. which in ya'lls opinion is better Nightingale Armour Or Ancient Shrouded Armor, i love the NG armors look but i feel the AS armor is more effective and im more of an assassin then thief

I never wear either. I mean, what idiot would wear the uniforms of two illegal organizations in public? You would beg to be arrested.

My thief/assassin ended up wearing a combo of DB, TG, and Nightingale armors.

I prefer the ancient shrouded over even the thieves guild master armor...slightly better armor rating and the boosts suit my game play style.

I've never seen the Ancient Shrouded armor, but I just can't bring myself to walk around in that ridiculous skin-tight bodysuit that passes for the regular DB armor.

I'm a guy, and I play male characters. I want my characters to look cool - not supahsixayy.

I also play in first person, so it's not such a big deal, but everytime I get a kill cam or just want to see a new weapon or something, I'm reminded that I look like a gimpish deep sea diver.

The basic Thieves' Guild armor, though, is awesome. It's a shame there's not more armor like that, easily accessible for non-thieves.

Nightingale is the only useful one, but it makes you look like a gimp. The standard TG and DB armours are to weak to fight in.

DB was extemely dissappointing. Not to mention if your a male, the cowl doesn't even cover your face like its supposed too. TG armor was okay...

I prefer the Db armor to the TG armor. The enchantments on the DB armor are infinitely more useful in game, and they're typically set at a higher percentage (I believe).

P.S. Since I play almost exclusively as Assassins (and I RP them heavily as well), I don't ever wear the armor in public (Cities, Towns, Villages, Merchant Caravans, etc). I have a full set of clothes hot-keyed along with my Ancient Shrouded Armor. Before I get to a city (or before I fast travel if I'm going for speed), I'll just bring up the instant menu and switch clothes.

Poof... instant incognito. This way I can RP how my assassins are infiltrating the town that their mark is inside of, etc. And the whole outfit weighs like... 5 or 6 pounds? I can handle that.

;)

[censored] Nightingale and TG, I prefer DB although even in that I am disappointed with. I think assassin armor should be baggy and raggedy cotton, and not skin-tight leather and horrendously obvious. I mean, you might as well tattoo 'Hey guys, I killed the Emperor' on your face with that armor. The DB armor is clearly a chick magnet for the male races to show off their genatalia, it looks painfull tight, I much prefer the mage DB robes.

They should have DB robes which are discreet, dark-colored, raggedy robes and then they should have DB Ritual robes which would have all the tattoos and markings showing off that love for Sithis and the Black Hand.

My preference would be to go with the Boots, Gloves and Cowl of the Ancient Dark Brotherhood and the Nightingale Chest. Picking between both of them, I'd go with the Ancient.

I like the TG armor more than the DB one, it's too tight for comfort :P

I can't believe someone at beth gave an ok to that dark brotherhood armor. You just have to look at some user mods to see what could have been done.

I like the Thieves Guild blacks (Guildmaster) Armor. The stuff Vex, Brynjolf and Delvin wear.

Nightingale with Thieves Guild black hood looks really good too. Classic Nightblade all the way.

depends entirely on your play style focusing on your personal preference, of course if your an assassin like me, youd wear assassin armor. if your more of a thief, youd wear thieves armor. if you were an archer youd wear... u get the point...

Linwe's Armor... looks the best to me... sneaky, practical and dosent look like a Holloween costume ( which is why I cant bear wearin Nightengale/Dark Brotherhood/Dragon/Deadric ) ... the DB armor makes you look like a circus acrobat.

Well, the DB armor is far more useful for an assasin, and I don′ t like the looks of the TG armor.
