If you use a companion, who do you prefer?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 11:29 am

Some companions level to 30, some to 40, some to 50 and two (j'zargo and dark brotherhood initiate) level right up to 81. Look on the uesp website on the followers skyrim page, scroll to the bottem and there is a link to all the followers and their levels.

Thanks man will do

J'Zargo! Or Cicero. For my Mage I choose J'Zargo because of his wit and his skill and for my assassin I choose Cicero for the same reasons, but I only take a follower when the need arises.

Ah fair enough, you can also dismiss her then leave the cell and wait for a few days. People say the time is 30 days, but she has reset for me in much shorter time periods.

As far as daedric quests go, the wabbajack one isn't evil or morally questionable, you just do a number of weird tasks for the daedric god of madness (who is rather crazy, as you'd expect ha).

Never knew that they reset with their cells - thanks for the tip!
And I've done Sheogorath's quest a few times before ;) Its probably well-suited to a 'good' character, considering you cure a long-dead emperor of his madness. Also, the wabbajack is the most effective way to kill a dragon priest, I've found!

I always go for complementary fighting styles after Marcurio worked so well with my Nord Warrior. I used Cosnach the Drunk with my robed Altmer mage, Aranea with my Dunmer nightblade, and Faendal has worked well so far with my Bosmer archer. My battlemage and Thane of Haafingar uses Jordis and Belrand (to whom she is married) My Argonian thief used Erik for about five minutes during a civil war quest, but otherwise has been solo throughout.

Notable deaths have been Lydia (Nord) Vorstag, J'zargo, Onmund & Argis the Bulwark (Altmer) Faendal (Dunmer - Boethia's Calling) and Ahtar the Jailor (Imperial)

My Nord Warrior uses either Marcurio or his wife Aela. My Dunmer Nightblade uses Jenassa or Cicero, and my Argonian Mage uses Vilkas along with Meeko.

Marcurio is my favorite so far. He has great dialogue and is an excellent fighter. He's also ranged so he stays back out of the way and doesn't get himself killed.

that all depends on my character build... if my character is a warrior and in combat he is pretty much unmatched but i have a weakness at long range i will get faendal... If i'm a mage and im vulnerable to enemy attack i will definitely not pick faendal because he will try to hang back like me and i need my enemies distracted so i might pick lydia instead. Also if i'm a warrior i might pick a mage like ondmun... that guy is one of the most powerful followers you can get if you give him enchanted armor...

I have to say ? Cicero  the dremora lord

and Lucien Lechance

They do all the dirty work for me. :bunny:

However on my "good playtrough" i've used Jenassa -at least until a Falmer Shadowmaster put an end to their suffering.

Generally I only use them as a pack mule so I generally start with Lydia. However once I get a house and can store stuff I don't use followers that much anymore.

Janesse is nice if you just want some company. She talks a lot, sneaks well, and generally stays out of your way. Sometimes I'll grab an archer type just to add a little extra damage like Annekke

"If you use a companion, who do you prefer?"

What an interesting question, I bet it's never been asked before!

EDIT: Might as well still answer it . . . Female Dark Brotherhood Initiate.
