How to keep track of Playing hours

I wanted to know how people keep track of how many hours they've clocked in.

Do you guys time yourselves?

Your savegame is telling you the played hours of a character or steam if you play on PC.

Well, I use Steam. Have no idea how consolers do so.
Maybe a stopwatch?

The "Time Played" thing on Steam isn't always 100% accurate. For example it said I had played Borderlands for 14 minutes but in reality I had just finished the game with a max level character.

I'll go to the save menu and look at what time it has displayed there when picking a file to save (xbox 360).

I don't time myself, as I'm not trying to rush through the game, but I do try to keep track of my gametime and will delete save files and clear the cache every 25 hours or so.
