Release the Choir

I can't be the only one who'd love to hear a purely choral version of the Skyrim theme. It'd be really nice to hear the Skyrim choir sing just on its own.

Also, after hearing Mark Lampert's cracking 'Hello' remix on the game jam vid, it would be fun for musicians, like myself to be able to sample the choir for our own fan mixes.

I'm also interested in having the two parts of the Skyrim theme seperated - I'd also like to hear the instrumental only, we get a bit of that in some of the vids (such as one of the later making of vids where you get the instrumental to the "Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin" part)

Also I think the choir by itself was on the early sounds of Skyrim vid, but you can't hear all of it before it gets cut off

The choir part is amalgamated into the music, and vice-versa.

If you separate the two themes you'll have two different parts of the same music, and the choir on its own will sound perhaps a bit harsh.

Re-arranging the whole theme for choir only would be a different matter of course, and isn't easy.

But only the composer would have the right to do eventually such a thing (or authorize others )

Yeah, I think only Bethesda themselves could give us the music needed. They do apparently have them separate, as evidenced by videos (though whether they still have it I'm not sure) so maybe with some (a lot) of luck they might release it as some kind of special edition soundtrack.

I wouldn't mind if it were available via a special edition soundtrack or a free bonus download somewhere. I'd just love to get my hands on some clean samples.

Did you know the original choir was only 20-30 strong and that they over lapped the choir singing to make it sound like a choir of 40-60?? I didn't know this until I DL a vid off xbox live that was all about Skyrim's music.
