Players Voice: Changes

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:56 pm

While their are probably thousands of this on this forum I made another for us to go crazy on. Post all changes and fixes you would like to see on updates. Don't have any ideas? Here are a few of my personal thoughts to get you all started.

1. I would like to see an option to hide the Khajiit tail when player choices (Nightingale Armor is amazing but the white tail poking out the end....not so much)
2. Higher likelihood of finding a "muffle" item that can be disenchanted (over 90 hours collectively and still not one, DON'T JUDGE ME)
3. DLC for the Snow Elf's (now the Falmer) and DLC for the Dwarves
4. Ability to forge your own arrows (requiring the ingot for the type of arrow, a leather strip and perhaps chopped wood for iron and steel)
5. Ability to reverse engineer items....umm to un-forge in lamens terms. For ex: take an item such as iron gauntlets and "un-forge" to get some of materials back from the item (I would like to get them all back but it doesn't seem possible. Like the leather strips used would be burnt in the heat...then again this is a game with magic and dragons so its whatever)
6. WOULD LOVE THIS: ability to co-op quests with another player. Perhaps a sort of data sync with the wifi so the skyrim world is like a massive COD map (the effort, time, and bugs that COULD result from this are enormous but that would be a sick feature!!!)
7. I think we all have had wife issues with this game so Bethesda: CREATE A DAMN DIVORCE SEQUENCE ALREADY! please :)
8. I think the mages need a wider variety of spells. Consider adding Earth and Wind to get the elemental themes completed and perhaps Light and Dark attacks/defense spells (these seem simple enough: Earth Golem, Cyclone for small wind attack, Solar Burst to blind enemies nearby, and Swallowing Darkness to make you disappear in areas that arent well lit)
9. Skyrim definitely needs a remake of the house Hjerim... a COMPLETE remake.. way to glitched.
10. A general smoothing and fine tuning of quests and loading especially on consoles since we don't have codes that get us around problems.

These are my top 10 in no particular order. Oh, before I let you go crazy... Trolls, please F*** off

I will just list three:

1. Immersive HUD option. I play with my HUD off, but an immersive HUD option would be great so I could get my health/magicka/stamina bars and basic compass back (and down in the corner of the screen where it belongs). On a console here so cannot mod. An Immersive HUD option should be available to everyone.

2. Darker dungeon option. I have brightness turned all the way down and it is still way too bright. There should be an option to make uninhabited dungeons really dark.

3. More spells -- I'd like to see some of the old spells brought back and stronger rune spells.

Only items I agree with are the bug-fixing ones. I don't have any feelings one way or the other about Falmer/Dwemer DLC, it just doesn't get my juices flowing.

1. More options for matrimony. The fact that you can marry Orcs and Argonians but not Khajiit or Bosmer is absurd. J'derras gets lonely in Proudspire Manor... :sadvaultboy:
2. Return of some spell effects. What? There's no cure disease or cure poison spells? No Open Lock spells? WTF Bethesda?
3. Clairvoyance that makes a path longer than 20 feet or a path that extends as you follow it.
4. Arrow-crafting. There's a fletcher in Solitude and Whiterun, yet we can't craft arrows.
5. DLC to take the war to the Thalmor. We know it's going to happen eventually.
6. DLC quest-pack. The quests are spread a little thin on this big slice of bread.

I hope the Dwarves never come back mainly because I think they're most likely dead and if not I'd like for it to be kept a secret.

Did you say like a giant COD map? I do not like when my favorite series of games is compared to a shallow shooter... :swear: we shall battle :starwars:

EDIT: But on topic :P I would like more NPCs in cities. Even if there generic like: Hunter, traveler, bard, Adventurer, Etc.

1. I find it ridiculous that if you climb a rock and range a mudcrab, it will actually look for a place to hide, behind a rock or building... thats a hell of a smart mudcrab...
2. I don't care for dwemmer, thalmor or falmer... although I do believe there will be a DLC about one or more of them, but I'd really love to see a trip to one of the nearby provinces, lets say a small portion at least, maybe a full walled village with some quests and underground complexes... just to gives us the feel of returning, that nostalgia.
3. More NPCs to refill those cities that had their citizens murdered/eaten... Maybe a huge vampire den, with grotesque shop items and such...
4. Werebears >:D

More monster variety in dungeons!!! It's lame ONLY fighting draugr in crypts...why not add some skeletons and corrupted shades to the mix?

Speaking of the wonderfully awesome corrupted shades, the scariest looking monsters in the game, why not populate halls of the dead with them to guard valuable loot?

Endeed Oblivion crypts were full with those dark wraiths and they are quite strong, the first thing I remember from starting playing oblivion are the shivers down my spine each time one of those attacked me. Speaking of ghosts the Skyrim ghosts are a shame, but I love the dunmer voice actor from Oblivion making his return tho.

Have to agree with the wraiths. They were pretty scary in Oblivion, kinda like the Ringwraiths in appearance when Frodo wears the Ring. The Oblivion Zombies also freaked me out on occasion. Where I disagree however, is the ghosts. In Skyrim, I like how the ghosts actually talk, but there could be improvements made to them, such as removing the blood and gear. Makes no sense, but they're better than Oblivion ghosts, who just breathe and throw frost spells at you.
