Few things I noticed about Skyrim.

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:21 am

So, after having my Xbox break down, I went out and got a PS3. I also picked up Skyrim, and I've noticed a few issues with it. First is a frequency in the sound cutting out. I heard it's an issue with Skyrim being played using PS3's wireless stereo headset, but I doubt that could be it, seeing as how it works fine with other games. I also noticed some pretty bad lag and framerate drops that I never noticed on the 360 version, especially when in combat with dragons. Does anyone else on PS3 have these issues, and will they be addressed?

On a side note, I've noticed some bits of music that play throughout the game that aren't on the soundtrack and I just can't seem to find anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find some of these tracks? One of them is the one that plays in the demo video when Howard arrives and discovers Riverwood.

Any help would be appreciated.

buying a ps3 was your first mistake, buying skyrim for ps3 was your second mistake. The PS3 version is notoriously bugged, this has been widely known for months. This topic should probably be moved .

Not at all on my PS3, since it's been patched a few times, did you download the latest patch version?

Bugged for some people, certainly not all. I play Skyrim on my PS3 with very few bugs - most have been smoothed out by patch 1.4, and the ones I do experience are insignificantly small.
As for buying a PS3 being a mistake ... Many a gamer plays on a PS3 and enjoys it very much. I wouldn't call it a mistake.

I don't see what the mistake was. I bought a PS3, and I don't regret it. I've been enjoying it ever since. I bought Skyrim, a great game, for the console I own. Still don't see any mistakes there.

Yes, I did download the latest patch.

Maybe you can find more answers at the Skyrim Hardware Issues Subforums for PS3, which is at the "V - Skyrim" tab.

I did, to no avail. I guess all I can do is soldier through these issues. They aren't really game-breaking, just tedious. Hope they get fixed, though.

This particular game on the Ps3 runs poorly. Saying purchasing a Ps3 is a mistake is moronic and ignorant.

Edit: OP it does run poorly, but just make sure to save often. A little bit of tarnish on this gem doesn't mean it isn't still great.

The upcoming 1.5 patch will probably fix those issues, my last problem was from three months ago which were heavy lag and crashes, but they were gone since the 1.3 patch.
