I'm a bear...

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:20 am

Was just standing next to a low waterfall out in the Reach, watching the salmon jump over it. Decided to move up close to the top of the falls, and try my luck at snatching them as they 'flew' by. After a couple of sloppy misses, I finally got one. And another. And another. Then I ate them.

Now I have this irresistable urge to hibernate....

Sounds like you are more like Bear Grylls than a literal furry bear.

I thought a glitch happened and you were actually controlling a Bear. Way to get my hopes up, lmfao.

I had that kinda happen to me once, I went to get on Shadowmere and my dude went off like a mindless drone on his own. Leaving me to control only Shadowmere.

Sounds fun. I'm going to try that. I am in the mood for salmon tonight.

Oh sorry, I thought I saw the word Beer and automatically had to check the thread...

On topic, I prefer noodling them underwater myself.

LOL @ Archery.

I just thought of something for immersion. Would've been AWESOME if you could've just been happening along and catch a glimpse of Bears ACTUALLY fishing for the Salmon.

That would've been boss..

Yeah, it would. Especially if they sometimes caught one, and you could watch them eat it.

...

That does indeed seem quite bear-ish.

Congratulations!

I may want to try that some time when I'm in a bear mood.

I have seen them swimming around in a shallow spot and hanging around a river bank but I've nver really taken the time to camp out and see if they actually "fish" or just do the motions, now I gotta find out

Better be careful. You know Ria travels a lot with Vilkas, and she likes to say, "I killed a bear yesterday. Did you kill anything?"

I just thought of something for immersion. Would've been AWESOME if you could've just been happening along and catch a glimpse of Bears ACTUALLY fishing for the Salmon.

I'm not sure if I've seen them attack salmon the way they do goats and the like. Bears actually fishing salmon from rivers and eating them was done in WoW. IIRC, killing and looting the bear afterwards usually turned up a glacial salmon. I do know that if you killed a wolf that just killed a rabbit, there was a very good chance of finding a "lucky" rabbit's foot in the loot, lol. :goodjob:
