The war has brought on much uneccesary bloodshed. On my way to the town of Riften I came across three imperial soldiers escorting a fellow nord. I tried to reason with them, tell them how they should put aside their differences, that a divided Skyrim is not strong enough to repel the dangers that threaten to annihilate our population but they scoffed at my pleading. Even my bretheren did not have any sense to him, proclaiming "you call yourself a true nord!" in respect to the fact that he was being held prisoner and I did not leap to spring him from the clutches of his foes. It was at this time that a mountain lion attacked, the imperials took up arms and I intended to flee to the hills and leave them to their fate going about my business. As I glanced back I saw the four working together to defeat their attacker, nord and imperial fighting as one. It was in that moment I decided that I would help.
I shouted releasing a great thum which shook the land as I sprinted directly beside the beast. As my steel slashed and cut along the animals side it growled with ferocity and with one final sweep I plunged both daggers deep into its underbelly. As I watched the life fade from its eyes I noticed the men who I had just saved turning toward eachother, now filled with bloodlust. They surrounded my brother who they held captive and seemed as though in the aftermath of the battle they would rather execute their prisoner than continue marching slowly back to their camp.
It was at this moment I realized, there is no saving these men. My home is doomed to a fate bestowed on it by my own brothers and sisters. We have brought this on ourselves. If it had not been for Ulfric this entire war may never have come to fruition, perhaps... But the fact remains that Ulfrics actions started a series of events that have led to this moment here in the wild with only the gods eyes on me now. I turned my back on the group of soldiers as to continue on my travels it was then that I turned. I shouted again knocking the lot of them to the ground and charged at the imperials. One by one they fell to my sword as their captive, my brother, cheered me on. After slaying the imperials I cut my brother free. I could see the relief in his eyes, a second chance at life wash over him.
As I plunged my dagger deep into my brothers gullet I could see the confusion in his eyes, then nothing. I had come to the conclusion that neither side could win in this war. The only option is to eliminate both parties. I side with no one. I side with SKYRIM!
