Skyrim DLC Setting

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:27 pm

I don't know if anyone has posted this, but I think the next DLC will be related to the war with the Thalmor. Just take a look at this:

The next DLC is rumored to be called "Dawnguard"; now, as many of you may know, Tamriel is said to mean "Starry Heart", but it's also Elvish for "Dawn's Beauty". So:

Dawnguard - Guard Dawn - Protect Dawn's Beauty - Save Tamriel

The way I see it, we might go to war against the Thalmor, and our Civil War decisions should have an impact on the story. I would also love some large scale and cinematic battles.
It might look stupid the way I put it, but other than that, I only see a Dawnstar-related story or one about Azura.

Anyway, comment about your thoughts on this and other DLC ideas you'd like. For me, I'd love a Guilds Expansion Pack.

I really hope DLC adds new land and isn't just a new questline in the current world.

I do hope you meant cinematic battles like very large scale and realistic battles and not some mindless cinematics you can only watch.
I think a war against the Thalmor is the most probable.

Yes, that's what I meant...
And for the others who have posted, if we're trying to defend Tamriel, we'd have to go to the other provinces, right? And also, every TES DLC has had new landmasses, so that's pretty much certain.

If there was a DLC i would want something that focuses on the voice scripting of NPC'S and the scripting on their actions. For example: When i was playing skyrim yesterday, a dragon swoops down in Riften, Some beggar or someone says- "my money is on the big one"
Well that big one turned out to be an ancient dragon that BIT YOUR WIFE AND THREW HER and you just sit there, not carrying about your dead wife, and when the dragon dies, you go over to her DEAD BODY, and you use that sentence "What happened here?"

I was wondering whether it had something to do with Dawnstar. Maybe make use of the ship in the bay...

Fighting Thalmor is too mainstream /hipster

I would like to visit another plane of Olivion eventually. Sheogorath's Madhouse/Shivering Isles was awesome. Mehrunes Dagon's Deadlands was repetitive and boring. Personally I want to see Azura's Moonshadow...Though I don't know of any reason why we would actually be there. I don't know if it would make since for any NPCs to be there either....Unless they changed http://images.uesp.net/8/8d/MW-creature-Winged_Twilight.jpg the same way they changed http://images.uesp.net/thumb/1/12/BS-Monster-Dark_Seducer.jpg/200px-BS-Monster-Dark_Seducer.jpg in Battlespire to http://images.uesp.net/3/39/SI-npc-Female_Dark_Seducer.jpg in Shivering Isles.... ALL 3 OF THOSE CREATURES ARE DEAD sixY.

I just want something unique and alien feeling like SI.

I just want a throne. So I can sit like Ulfric. I also noticed in the music intro of fresh prince of bel ai, Will Smith is sitting on a throne like Ulfric. The Jarl of Bel Air.

All i want from a DLC is an immersive, epic story with twists and imagination. As much as i'd LOVE to have a new landmass, weapons and armour, i only really want something to capture my heart and mind. Im not a fan of the "war with the Thalmor" idea, but if it does happen, i want an espionage(spelling?) type quest, where you have to allie with them, help them and even see eye to eye with their ideas, possibly changing your view of the Dominion and giving you the option to help them, or obviously destroying them from the inside. I just want a quest (preferably more than one) that is a very long, exciting adventure, not just focused on killing monsters and NPCs, but making desicions and solving problems, and having a greater affect on Skyrim. My favourite quests so far are the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Companions ones, but even they are linear compared to the ones i would have expected. In short, i want a long, supprising and ambitious adventure. Also, excuse the oxymoron.

A war with the Thalmor seems something too big for DLC in my opinion. Either its resolved in another book or in a 6th elder scrolls game.

Thinking about it I reckon it will be something completely different because, in oblivion I would of never expected to go to the shivering isles. I reckon we need to think the unexpected.
