so i havent played the dark brotherhood since skyrim first came out and i was woundering. when you put on the shrowded cowle the one thats supposed to have the mask i neve found one that actually had the mask. so my question is is this a bug and if so has it been fixed yet. this is really my only dissapointment in the whole game well that and the quest lines being kinda short.


but any ways i'm replaying skyrim right now and i'm just finishing up the thiefs guild. i've done all of the main thiefs guild quests and i am now doing the side missions for it and after that i'm going to start the dark brotherhood questline agai. and i would really like to know if this time i will finally be able to were the shrowded cowle and it actually have thie mask this time. i was so pissed when it never showed up for me.

It could be a glitch but there are two different kinds mask and without and your first set is supposed to have the mask.

yeah i know there is there is 2 sets and the first set i have never had it. i was helping my little brother play it earlier and i started the DB for him and he seen her armor and he was like can you get that for me and i tolled him thats what i was doing. and oh yeah he dosn't have live on his 360 so he is playing patchless. but any ways when i got to the sanctuary and got the armor and put it on his didn't have the mask part of it eather. and he was also dissapointed that it didn't have the mask. so that is why i'm posting this now cause it had just reminded me that mine did the same thing.

Coincidental glitches? I cannot wear hoods like from the thieves guild armor. It just shows up as a bald spot

Yes, it is a bug that has yet to be fixed.

From the wiki- "Regardless of whether the covered or non-covered hood is being used there is no face cover present in the meshes for males of any race. When worn by either Khajiit or Argonian the hood will lack a face cover regardless of gender. With Khajiit it may also remove certain hairstyles or accessories. Will show in the workbench menu but will return the 'requires perk' message even if the player already has Arcane Blacksmith. Intermittent, may be limited to the set that can be pick pocketed from Astrid when first meeting her. Shrouded Cowl Maskless does not show up on the workbench when attempting to upgrade it. If a Bosmer is wearing the Shrouded Hood, their ear points stick out of the hood. Sometimes the worn Shrouded Armor set will not appear in the inventory but will still have weight when picked up."

I myself have noticed that the strap that goes across the chest of the DB armor doesn't appear on the men either.

i know same here i got the day it came out and started a the db a few week later been waiting ever since
