NEED teleport spells on console!

Why not make it so for the console players to unlock a cooler aspect of the game? Beth.. Please make this happen at least on a near future DLC as a bonus.

I'd rather see an immersive HUD option on consoles. After that, then have at it, but in no way would I priortize a teleport spell (or any spell for that matter) over an immersive HUD.

Teleport as of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of65ykI1Eh8, or Mark/Recall-style?

If it's the second, I doubt there will ever be, as the probabilies of breaking a scripted quest are pretty high. Even the first one could reach you to areas you technically are forbidden to be.

Then it comes the complaints, forum hate, etc..

No matter the HUD, all you do is angle and release (shoot) spell. I mean very simple sounding to do and I have seen videos with mods of it. And as far as a being a place forbidden to be, just reinforce the boundaries of that certain type of spell.

Yeah, the HUD has nothing to do with the spell. I just think that an immersive HUD option is way more important than any spell. It is annoying that you cannot turn off the magic GPS compass or sneak crosshair without loosing all onscreen text and the "invisible" status bars.

Definitely the first one. It pisses me off that some of the enemies I fight get a toy like that and I don't.

Well okay, haha, I see what you are coming from, and I do agree with you completely on that.

That's why I never bought a Playstation or Xbox. Computers are just so much more flexible for playing "computer" games. Consoles were just to be easier, so you didn't have to learn an operating system. Well, no...for awhile consoles actually had better, more fluid graphics. So that was a big thing I guess. But that's not really the case anymore. And I love being able to hit ~ and type in "coc whiterunbreezehome" and teleport directly back to my house. Or "coc whiterunwarmaidens" to teleport directly to the sword and armor merchants to dump to weight. "coc whiterundragonsreach" to go directly to enchanter and alchemy making.

Playstation and Xbox just seem kind of redundant to own, if I have a PC. But if you have the money, go ahead and buy them. Hell, why not? I love playing with new toys too. And it's possible there is a bonus to consoles I never considered. That happens allot. Completely missing the point

How would a teleport spell be different than fast travel?

Short-range spells like the one I showed are for combat. And Mark/Recall style are more versatile than fast-travel because they can teleport you to interiors as well, and you can mark any place you want.

And a multiple Mark/Recall spell (in the works, I hope...at least I've requested it to a modder) would be even more versatile. It'd turn ANY home into a portable one, being able to mark your home's favourite room, then the spot you currently are, and teleport to your house in order to sleep and store your stuff, knowing that by the morning you just can teleport back to where you were. You could also do teleport loops, have a collection of interesting places, use it for emergencies if you can't carry enough loot...the possibilities are endless.

Yeah, the only advantage I see to a console is that you can plug it in to your HDTV and play from your couch with a controller without needing any technical knowledge about computers. I have tried to set up my fiance's computer to play Oblivion that way and it was such a headache and was cutting into my playtime I gave up. Someday I will get back to it for the mods, but for now I play on console. It would be nice to get some interesting DLC like a teleport spell or a levitate spell, but I really wish they would focus on the basics first. Getting the remaining bugs worked out of the system and introduicing a few basic options in the options menu like dark dungeons, realistic thrist/hunger, more difficulty slider options, and an immersive HUD. I understand that people who play on console cannot expect the same flexibility as a PC but soem basic stuff like that would not be too hard to add and should be an optional feature for everyone who plays Skyrim.
