Closed corridor combat kills my companions.

It's hard being a mage type character trying to fight really hard enemies with my companion also there.

They really should take friendly fire off because in tight corridors there isn't anywhere for me to go.

If you are using a melee style companion try switching to another caster for a companion. They tend to stay back out of the way so friendly fire isn't such an issue. The only tank I ever use on my mages is a conjured one. If I kill that I just pop out another one.
