Okay, i was playing skyrim the other day. I was in a dwarven ruin, Aftand I think it is, and while walking through, i noticed that it appeared the machines killed several excavators in that ruin. This was just on a whim, but is it possible that as the dwarves created such sophisticated machines that they didn't fully understand what they created? Is it possible that the machines turned on their creators and wiped them out? It certainly would explain how the Dwarves dissappeared without a trace. thoughts and comments are appreciated!

Actually, it's already known to an extent what happened to the Dwemer.
