Radiant Story... Where else is it?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:07 pm

I understand that the Misc quest are Radiant Story, as well as some faction generic quests, however there was an example they used to give and im curious if anyone ever found it

A shopkeeper gives you a quest (assumed it was the golden claw one), but you decide to kill him. His sister is supposed to be able to continue the quest for you, but if she knew you killed him, shed hire assasins after you.

Has anyone experienced this? or other related things?

I have had people send thugs after me when I have stolen things from them, yes. I don't like randomly killing NPCs though so I've never had anyone take over as a quest giver.

Radiant Story is the most amazing, behind the scenes system this generation has seen.

You actually found that on a dead attacker? Because that would be awesome.

I had something pretty cool happen earlier on.

I had married Camilla since my Assassin fancied a stake in her shop. After the wedding, Camilla, her brother, and Sven all started walking from Riften back towards Riverwood.
Realising it was a very perilous journey, my Assassin shadowed them on their long journey...
As soon as everyone entered the woods outside Riften, I had the cunning idea of taking out Camilla`s brother, thus would the store fall to her. Talking to the poor fellow, enough to let him lag behind the others and therefore out of earshot and sight, my char promptly cut his throat, then hurried to catch up with Camilla and Sven...only to find them under attack beside a Bandits Fortress. Poor Sven went down under a storm of arrows from the bandits above him and never got back up again, I had to save Camilla from 2 pit wolves and a horde of angry bandits, which was pretty hairy.

Abandoning Camilla after that (otherwise it was going to be a very long journey home), my char fast travelled to Riverwood where he would wait for Camilla in her shop and their now shared new home.
Upon entering Riverwood, I saw everyone running around shouting and weapons drawn! I though maybe it was a Dragon and then I saw a "Thief" run out of the Camilla`s shop! he came straight at my character and attacked!
I was pretty amazed but slew him quickly :)

I`ve seen plenty of Thieves run around in Riften but never in Riverwood and coming out of Camilla`s shop? Was this pure coincedence or some sinister twist in the tale by radiant story?

I don`t know if it was intended because the shop had been left empty or something...but it was very cool :D

I love the unexpected things that happen on rare occasions...
