So I've been playing my Mage for awhile and wanted to take him through the DB questline, yes he is an evil ol' Mage. Anyway, in my experiance bows are almost the only effective means of eliminating a target, reach out and touch someone with a damage multiplier while remaining hidden. I know I can take Quiet Casting and send some Fireballs down range for a sneaky elimination, but my worry is without that damage multiplier I don't think my spells will be enough to kill the target effectively and cleanly.

Has anyone done the DB quests on a pure Mage and care to throw in thier two cents on the matter? Tips, Hints, and Tricks of the Magical Assasination Trdde would be greatly appreciated.

Bound Sword works for Assassination, used that on the beginner quests at least.

Dual-cast incinerate preceded and followed by invisibility, with muffle cast at the beginning. As you know quiet casting is a must. So far this strategy has worked for me. Or you could do as festus does, introduce yourself the FIREBALL!
