Looking at yourself

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:24 am

This might be a totally stupid question. How do you look at yourself from the front in 3rd person with your weapon drawn. I can do it with weapon sheathed, but when I take it out the view goes back to over the shoulder, and I can't seem to figure out how to look from the front.

This is on a PC, btw.

You cannot do it with the weapon drawn. His face would become too angry.

That doesn't work in Skyrim anymore.

Console command "animcam" allows you to turn the camera with weapon drawn or moving. "tfc" allows freely movable camera, and "tfc 1 " does the same and freezes time, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/648746999493295721?tab=public ;)

Hold down the camera button ( "F" on the PC) and you can rotate even with weapon drawn as long as you are not moving. I do prefer Oblivion's camera system. I used to like to watch my character walking along from dfferent angles.

Somehow i have managed to miss that one  And that's what i used to do too. Still possible with the animcam command, but not as easy.

With all the other stuff going on around here, this is the kind of thread Gstaff actually weighs in on?

Basically what it is on 360. Since F3 at least, I hated Oblivions camera buttons. Don't feel bad cause it took me a second to figure it out too because it is a smidge different from F3's system (better IMO).

That's one change I really wonder about. What possible reason could there have been to make the third-person camera less functional than it was in Oblivion and FO3/FO:NV? :ermm:

He has 13,330 posts. I think Gstaff weighs in on other things.

Yeah but check his registration date. That only works out to 1.2 posts per day.
