Armor and Enchanting Help

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:07 pm

I've only had skyrim for a few weeks and I've been trying to figure out how to make the best armor and weapons... I've been trying to get my armor rating as high as I can... I then learned that there may be a armor cap at 567 where after that point armor rating won't help anymore??? True or False????

Additionally I got my enchanting up to 100 so I can enchant all of my armor, and I'm wondering if there is any caps for enchanting percentage or rating or anything important I should know before I enchant...

Please help me figure out the way I can make my character the best but without going over caps... Please be detailed and explain some of these things to me... very confusing.

Thank you

Yes, the armor cap is 567, and I've read that anything after that isn't useful.

There are potions you can purchase from alchemists that will increase your smithing a certain level for 30 seconds, 60 seconds, whatever. So, using that will put out armor/weapons with high(er) levels, but I don't know if that pushes you past the cap or not.

I don't know about enchanting (check the alchemist, don't know if there are potions for enchanting like there are for smithing.)

Good luck.
