That awkward moment when you use Fire Breath by mistake.

Ohh... I've done that. I've used it instead of Become Ethereal once, and it got me killed when I jumped off the bridge near Winterhold. I had a lot of thinking to do on the way down.

Heh, I was in Riften once, I thought I had Clear Skies still activated. So instinctively, I cleared Riftens skies (be cause its always so gloomy) and the sky got dark, and I said to my self, "Oh... no" then, it started raining and I saw many people running away screaming. Lightning poured out of the sky killing many people, my chicken... and... my wife. It was a sad but funny sight.

This is why voice recognition would be badass on every system. No more mistakenly using the wrong shout!

I accidentally Fus Do Rah'd in my Markarth house near the end of the entrance, thereby blowing everything all over the place. When it became apparent the stuff wasn't going to clean itself up I just moved everything back to Riften. It took less time than it would have to try and place everything back the way it was. Be very careful when picking up your controller while holding a glass in the same hand.

Oh man, I'm still having nightmares about accidentally Fus Ro Dahing in Vlindrel Hall. What really hurt is that I'd just bought and furnished the place and spent about half an hour real time picking things up and moving them around and arranging everything just how I wanted it. And then I pretty much blasted every other item straight down the length of the place into the front hall.

I tried to undo the damage but after five minutes or so I gave up, picked up everything and walked down to the market district and sold it all. It was just easier. Made some decent money, too, all that silver.

What was really funny was that Argis just sat there calmly munching on a loaf of bread through the whole ordeal, and five minutes earlier he'd gotten all snippy with me for trying to move a salmon steak off the table and onto a plate. For that I got a gruff verbal dressing down, for bouncing most of the decor off the inside of the front door with a shout... nothing. Those housecarls sure are an odd bunch.

I've done something like this before where I thought I had Whirlwind Sprint on and I did a FUS RO DAH.
I've done something quite similar in Fallout New Vegas where I pressed the Back button on the 360 to wait and for some reason the wait box didn't load and I pressed RT for a shortcut and shot my gun, luckily the guy who I almost shot was behind an impenetrable glass.

Try accidentally Wuld Nah Kest-ing when you're trying to Fus Ro Dah something off a cliff.

Legendary fail that one... Whirlwind sprinting off a cliff!. Is that the dragonborn's way of committing suicide then? ;)

Well, nothing calms me down like being struck by lightning. I mean I might have a little convulsion or something at first, but after that I'd just lay there calm as all get out.

Unless you count the little wisps of smoke coming off my extremities and the smell of burning hair, but that's all involuntary so you can't really hold it against me.

Funniest for me was thinking I had Aura Whisper activated and turning Vorstag into an ice block. Oops.

I compare it to sneezing. When you sneeze it could be by mistake, but the person infront of you won't like it.
I froze Lydia my wife at one time...........She seemed to like it. :)

Lol unfortunately on my main file Windhelm is a pretty empty place now. But luckily there were at least a few villagers that had essential tags.

Lol, I hit Provenicci the first time through the MQ, because he expressed doubt that I was dragon born and I thought to myself "I'll prove it to him!"
I died immediately after that cause all the guards rushed me!

I did the same thing! It was good times

That's how I found out that Vilkas was no longer essential in the game. He was my follower, standing there patiently while I was messing around with the controls, trying something out and accidently hit the shout button. He burned quite nicely. Then, when I tried to hit the start button to reload I hit square instead (I'm on PS3), unsheathing my greatsword, ending this whole sequence with a nice, full-frontal attack. He died instantly.

Not my proudest gaming moment.

Also, beware of attempting to Whirlwind Sprint thru town and Fus Ro Dahing 3 or 4 people who, usually wanna kick your butt when they get up.

Or lining up a Fus Ro Dah on a mountain or hill top to send the enmy flying, just to realize as you use the shout that the one shout that is used last and still active is Whirlwind sprint... Had that happen more then once, and the feeling you get when you see your character leap off the edge into his own death is pretty much "Doh"

Hahaha, true that! Except the wife bit, I ain't that unlucky.. So far.

I already get enough funny looks from me shouting English at the monitor, (you know, the usual, backchatting NPC's in combat who think they're all badass) so I don't want to start shouting Draconic at the screen too! xD

I always unequip my shouts now, too many errors in the past.

It happened to me once. My character was in an inn. I had to leave the desk for a moment, so I put down the xbox controller without pausing the game. In doing so, I inadvertently pressed the dorsal button. I heard a squeaky voice screaming "it burns!" and, soon afterwards, the battle music starts playing: I had released the flame shout against a child in there :D

I was surprised to see that children, despite being invincible, react (almost mock) the player when they're hit with spells.

I always mix up Unrelenting Force with Throw voice. I don't remember which one I usually do by mistake, but it's never quite the intended effect.
Also, once I was in a safe (I thought) place in the dungeon and unknowingly hit Z. Scariest moment of the game so far...

This particular sneeze was during a DB quest.

Spoiler
During To Kill an Empire, that Brenton must have spilt the pepper because the next thing I knew, she's lying in a charred husk and the meals been overcooked.

There was also the unfortunate one at my wedding...

In all honesty though, I need to put down the controller when I'm about to sneeze because I usually end up hitting R2 and activating some sort of Shout.

I have FUS'd people quite a few times sadly forcing a reload, the R2 button on a PS3 controller is easily pressed if you gently rest it down on your lap while there is a lot of dialogue, if I can remember I always deselect my shouts when I enter a city.

I've done the same thing too... You know how the first time you demonstrate it, it doesn't turn anybody hostile?

Yeaaaaaah.

The second time, in front of the Jarl of Whiterun and his staff, directed at them - not so much!

I was playing Dead is Dead too...
