This is possible, but it requires using the race presets in the CK and character generation and being able to load a save game with the face active in it, if you can't do that at all, not sure how much help this will be for you. I'll post the info anyways...
- The race of character exported and imported should be the same.
1. In game, load your saved game you want to export. Open console, click your character in third person view, type spf [filetosave] and enter (eg. spf mychar)
2. execute CK, open DATA, double click Skyrim.esm and click OK (i.e. load Skyrim.esm using CK)
3. Find preset of race you want to import in Actors, and open it
- e.g. There is NordFemalePreset01-09, at Actors-Actor-Preset-NordRace-Female in Object Window
4. In Actor window, select Character Gen Parts in above tabs (You should press righ arrow serveral times)
5. In Character Gen Parts, click Import button in right top and select npc file you saved in console (e.g. mychar.npc)
6. And close the actor window by pressing ok in left below.
7. Save your esp file in File ->Save. You should name your esp appropriately.
8. And activate your esp using mod manager or skyrim launcher and launch the game.
9. In game, you can use the face exported in your previous save by selecting the preset in showracemenu. That's it!
(No hair is selected. You should choose hair again)
In addition, you can export your face in saved games to npc in a same manner.
You just open npc's actor window instead of preset actor one. Do not forget to Ctrl+F4 to export character's face in this case.
Works perfectly as long as you follow it step by step, I'm using an old character face in my current savegame right now. Enjoy, have fun with it.
