If you only had two builds to pick from, which one would you pick? And why?

First one is this:
  • Illusion (Invisibility, Muffle, Fear, Charm, Fury)
  • Destruction (Fire/Ice/Lightning)
  • Alteration (Detect Life)
  • Will only wear cloth.
  • Puts all points into Magicka.
Second one is this:
  • Illusion (Invisibility, Muffle, Fear, Charm, Fury)
  • Conjuration (Bound Sword, Bound Bow)
  • Alteration (Detect Life)
  • Archery (For increased damage and slow motion)
  • One Handed (For increased damage)
  • Will only wear cloth.
  • Puts all points into Stamina.

First one is fine if you like "pure mages" (which are interesting, but not totally my type). The second one is more balanced, kinda of a Battlemage, although unarmored...but all points into stamina only would mean failure I think...leaves him too exposed, and the magick abilities pretty useless, at least at low levels, and until you get some Fortify Magicka gear.

My build:

- One-Handed.
- Heavy Armor.
- Block.
- Smithing.
- Restoration (mostly for healing).
- Alteration (the main Magical ability of my character, with tons of custom spells like Levitation, Force Pull/Push, Remote containers, 10-slot Mark/Recall, Stone Prison, Shrink enemies...), apart from Detect Life/Dead, Telekinesis, Advanced transmutation (it transmutes ingots as well)...and also the "Shadowstep" spell (makes you teleport right behind the enemy of your choice), which I've hotkeyed in order to quickly switch back to my shield, thus being able to teleport and knock enemies down before they've time to turn around.
- I put the Stamina/HP/Magicka points in increases of 50, and in that very order of priority (plus about 3x Stamina, 1x HP, and 0.5x Magicka).

I'm playing a pure mage.

- Destruction (focusing on shock spells)
- Conjuration (usually flame atronach, since I prefer it's ranged style of combat
- Illusion (mainly frenzy and calm spells, for tight spots.
- Alchemy (mainly for healing potions and restore magicka potions)
- Enchanting (slowly leveling this so that I can down the cost of destruction spells, ideally by 70-80%)
- Alteration (purely for the candlelight spell!)

Insanely fun character, although he's reaching the 'grey patch' that seems to hit around level 25, where you find yourself overwhelmed by most enemies unless you utilize the other schools of magic correctly. I hope he makes it through the 'grey patch' - I'd hate to lose this character simply because he can no longer handle enemies.

Edit: not sure I like this 'you MUST help another person' rule, but I'll comply.
@Earthlinger: perhaps add archery or restoration to the mix, just to shake it up a little? Not to rely on heavily, but I found that constantly charging into battle can get a little repetitive. Restoration was fun because I was no longer chugging down potions, which also saved money! :)
