Four Beaked Bird

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:46 pm

As I was leaving Riverwood I heard a very loud and constant bird sound. As I got closer to the source I spotted this strange, four beaked bird stuck in the tree making more noise than... something very noisy.

See for yourself

It's not a hawk as I shot loads of them down and looks completely different. Has anyone seen these things before or know if it has a name? Or has anyone else seen other odd and peculiar wildlife of Skyrim? It doesn't want to reset either. It seems like it's stuck there forever.

I'd guess it's several birds clipped together, that would explain the odd appearance and the inability to move. Or it could be that Sheogorath is messing with you.

Yeah I think you're right. I just did a (tfc) no-clip to get a better look at it and seems to be 3 birds clipped together. Could be wrong though and I've discovered a 4-beaked 6-winged species of bird with poor eyesight. Think I'll name the species Geoff.

I reckon it's the latter.

Yeah I run into that glitch all the time, it is a glitch and the loud noises you hear are the sounds of a large group of birds mashed together in agony.

I'd doubt they'd be making such sweet (albeit messy) sounds then. Or I might officially declare myself a psychopath for liking the sound of agony.

I have seen numerous reports of bird sightings like that, after checking the pic it is exactly what I have seen before.

Seen quite a few people over on the Nexus comments pages posting this as a "bug" from a mod, although no mod creator has yet to take responsibility for it. So I presume it's in the vanilla game.

Who knows though, everyone who posted pics about this that I have seen have stated that it is indeed frozen in time and space, guess we'll never know unless someone digs through the CK to find out what is causing it to spawn to begin with, I guess.

I'm not seeing it. I just see a black image underneath a bunch of leaves.

I have seen that several times as well. Its right across the bridge traveling from Riverwood to Whiterun. Mine is stuck there too and making permanent bird sounds as well.

At first I figured it might've been placed by the Wild of Skyrim sound mod, but I have come to realize they are the flocks of birds that are supposed to fly away when you approach them, only some get stuck in the tree.

I seen that before. Figured it was just an bird audio emitter since it doesn't have any movement.
