This is gonna sound stupid, but i feel i must ask

Well, after looking around YouTube earlier today i saw a skyrim mod video. I thought it was pretty cool, but only PC skyrim gets mods. So i was wondering if at any time in the future, will consuls get mods. Or give consul users the modding tool

This question is incredibly idiotic and you're right.

First, pointless giving consoles mod tools, because how are you gonna mod the game? With a thumbstick?

Second, how are you gonna manage your mods? Your files? Manually install? Customize them? Merge them and make sure they don't conflict? How are you going to get the necessarily tools like BOSS and Wrye Bash and NMM?

Again I know it was stupid to ask. Especially the modding tool, but maybe Beth can gather up some really good mods, or fan favorites and release them as dlc. Just a thought.

Sadly, it won't be happening any time soon.

Yeah seriously, chill out.

On some levels it might I guess be possible, although as Mr Chuckles up there pointed out there are a number of limiting factors as to what you could do.
I wouldn't be surprised if some enterprising soul wasn't working on a way to mod a save and transfer it via memory stick or something like that...
...who knows.

Damn. Looks like me and all the other console dwellers will be stuck playing regular skyrim. Trapped to an eternity of remaking characters. Haha

Just because YOU know the answer to a question doesn't mean the WORLD knows the answer

Anyway, it's likely that PS3 and Xbox users will ever get to use mods, at least for Skyrim. Perhaps if TES VI is made for a next-gen console we will, but most likely not for Skyrim.

Edit: And I don't feel 'trapped in an eternity of making new characters', and I'm a PS3 user! I see no reason to mod the game, and have no desire to. If I had a PC, then I likely would, but vanilla Skyrim has provided me hundreds of hours of entertainment, and likely will provide hundreds more.

You can Mod the 360, with PC Mods. Obviously not all of them, graphical enhancements for example but Mods that add new content are possible. So don't try to act clever, when you clearly don't know all the facts.

give the guy a break not everyones clued up on mods. consoles may not be able to use the tools to make mods, but they could one day have access to the mods made by the modding community, next gen consoles perhaps? after all arent official dlc's just mods created by the developer...

Sorry, but no. If you want to deal with mods, you have to buy the PC version.
