Alduin Ressurection Glitch

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:38 am

ok, so i was playing skyrim, and i saw Alduin "ressurecting" a dragon. to have a little fun, i pegged him with some arrows. instead of disarming me or using unrelenting force, he flew around, said something, tried to ressurect the same dragon. I hit him with another arrow, and he just flew off. now the wierd light pillar thing you see while he is chanting and crap IS STILL THERE. the dragon isnt ressurected or anything, the pillar of light is just derping around net to rorikstead. any way to get rid of this?

Just leave the area for a bit and it will disappear. I had this happen too. The dragon will magically resurrect its self.

Yes, if you interrupt him somehow during the resurrection ceremony he haz a sad and flies away. I have, however, hung back and watched until he finished the job and left. There's always still plenty of time to kill whatever dragon comes out of the mound.

One of my most cringeworthy RP moments was when I found him raising a dragon in the hills overlooking Rorikstead. I don't know how I got close enough to bork up the ceremony, and I don't remember attacking him, and I thought he finished it, but I waited for a long time after he left and nothing happened. It was the first time I'd seen that without the dragon actually coming back to life. So I left the area but I felt REALLY bad because I felt like I was leaving that whole town unprotected with the possibility of an imminent attack.

I was on my way to Whiterun when it happened so I just went there, but my next bit of traveling took me right past Rorikstead and sure enough when I got there the dragon was up and causing mayhem. I killed it and nobody there got hurt as far as I can tell but my Dragonborn was too ashamed to stick around just the same. Couldn't get over the feeling that if anyone had died it would've been *my* fault.

Maybe I have an overdeveloped sense of personal responsibility, lol, but it's funny how deeply I take stuff like that when I'm playing. It does make it a much more intense and therefore enjoyable experience though.

I had this happen. In rorikstead. On top of a hill very close to town. Hm. I tagged him with an arrow. 7 in fact. And I waited, oh the wolves know. They always come out to play. You just need to wait for the big lizard. No one knows how long.. you just.. wait.. for it... Won't you?
