A silly idea about shopping and eating

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 4:42 pm

Been playing Skyrim again. Tried a different way of playing. So now I eat once in a while. Not 3 times a day but more 1 time a day. I go to an Inn, or Guild hall wich I am in, and I either buy the food (at an inn) or eat what I caught (at a guild hall). This got me thinking, when I go to an Inn, and when I order something to eat, how come it's not at my table? I mean when we rent a room the NPC shows us to our room, most times, so why not they seat us at a table and then the food is on the table instead of looking at it as stolen.

This also got me thinking, when we enter a store, we look on the shelf, we should be able to buy what see instead of stealing it. Again, I thought this would have chaned after almost 20 years of TES. So in a sense we are still playing Arena, not much has changed.

So here is my idea for a future DLC for Skyrim. Make stuff on the shelf, be buyable or the option to buy or steal it. Maybe even rent it? When we order food, it's on our table and we can eat it from our table, and be able to sit down with food in our hands like the NPCs do.

Also would be nice to be able to squat like how other NPC do as well. So what do you guys and gals think?

Some of the stuff on the shelves actually appear in the merchants wares for sale. If you steal them, then you can no longer buy them.

With the Inn seating, it's a good idea, but I think the PC modders should focus on that and leave Bethesda to make... more larger content.

Sadly I am on the 360, so can't use any mods that are made.

In Daggerfall, you could try on the clothes in the stores before deciding whether to buy them. Would like like to be able to do that again.
