Did this happen to other people? For me it happens a few times, can be very annoying.
Especially when your character is lvl 33 and has ebony armor which took alot of effort and time to make.
Although i usualy start over with the character, i don't feel like doing this again.

I guess i will just continue with a wood elf huntress that i made, and i hope she will last forever.
And maybe make a barbarian type of character, and save that on the file of the character that is bugged.

For some apparant reason a whole lot of people just dissapeared, which some of them were important.
They never showed up anymore, and it is pretty dull without them.

I guess that bugs like these are rare, i think it won't happen that quickly again.
The character was getting boring anyway.
Archer seems fun and challenging, might be fun to roleplay to.

Or if you know when they dissappeared then try reloading a previously saved game.

I've never had to start over because of bugs. I've been very lucky, and I'm on the PS3 which seems to be getting a lot of bad rep haha.

Knock on wood, so far I haven't come across a gamebreaking bug. I'm on the Xbox 360. But the particular bug you are experiencing used to happen a lot in Morrowind... but I think for different reasons (they would just fall into the graphical void and you'd never be able to complete major quests).

Yep, my Khajiit (favorite character) is level 40 but cannot progress through the Thieve's Guild because of a Bug and it irritates me every damn day without end
