What are your unsual tid bits you do when you play Skyrim?

What are your unsual tid bits, you do when you play Skyrim? For me, if I am ever in combat and I have to kill anything, when I get a chance, I give a little prayer for the life I just took and collect a flower. No idea why I do it, but it seems something different so I do it now.

Also if I die, I do a pennance walk, I go from Helgan, and make right turns (the road we go down at the begining of the game) and eventually I end up to a gate that should lead into Cyrodill. There I leave my favorite weapon and a blue flower and "walk" my way down to Helgan to reperesnt starting over again, since I can't do Dead is Dead no more. In essence it's like starting a new game again.

Now I eat once or twice a day and I sleep from time to time as well. I have joined a guild so I can get free lodging so I don't have to rent a room everynite now.

So what are the unusal stuff you may do that we can try out it our game to make it more fun?

I do the same thing Akaryu. I don't kill anyone why hasn't attacked me first. Thing where I am different now is bandits. If I see one ahead of me when I am sneaking, I will kill them now, since I know they will attack me.

I occasionally pray the following;

Hircine, Lord of hunters, grant that my hands be steady, my aim be true, and my feet swift. And should the worst come to pass, grant me forgivness.

I don't kill willy nilly, and I don't like to attack anyone unless they're attacking me. If someone cowers away from me in combat I wait. If they attack me again I kill them, if they don't I let them live. If I'm on a quest and there are bodies lying around from previous questers, (so usually good guys), I sometimes reanimate them and allow them one final battle before they are committed to ash.

Lately there have been a few occasions where a Dragon attack near a City has caused the deaths of many NPCs, and not just guards. I wish there was a better way to mourn them, (especially when Gerdur was killed in Riverwood the other day...I was quite touched and wanted to be able to give her a decent send off.)

I play dead is dead. I try to eat and sleep everyday. I do not use fast travel.

When doing thieving/assassin missions or any mission where I need a cover I actually use disguises and change clothes regularly. I actually have a set of guard armor for each city that I use as disguises, plus vigilant of stendarr outfit, or I go with a good sneaky outfit but I try not to be seen by 'anyone'.

I only go to locations people send me to, but I do count locations that people just tell you to either go to or avoid but aren't part of a quest.

Probably the only person who does this.... But I think reading a book to learn a new spell is far to easy. So I will only buy books from mages that have a reason to help me(I did a quest with/for them/they teach at the college). I then 'wait' for 8 hours, that is the time I imagine the mage 'teaching' me. Ok now... I... um.... roll a d6. Harder I think it should be to learn... higher number I need. If I don't roll that, I sell the book back to the mage, then buy it again from them(as if I'm buying more training), then wait 8 hours again, and roll a d6. Each time I 'wait' 8 hours I take 1 off the number I need to roll.

Current character has no magical background, so far he has spent 5 8 hour sessions learning magic and he knows candle light. Technically he knows flames but I don't cast it as he has not studied it yet. I think I'll have him learn oakflesh next.

In-game rituals are somewhat limited. I do, however, put down the controller every hour to change my baby's diaper...

Do you pray to Arkay after taking a life too? ;)

I make it a point to feast on the people I've killed. I role that my werewolf character can't fight his urge to feast and strengthen himself. I don't consider it canabolism because he's more animal than man at this point.

Interesting thread, I'm glad i'm not alone in performing certain tasks or following certain rituals when i'm in Skyrim, I always give my enemies a good death & always attempt to lay their bodies to rest, Due to the fact that the ragdolls/physics always leave the dead bodies with their legs wide open i do my best to restore their dignity, With caliente's body mod installed i do make sure that i'm not eating dinner at the same time as well.

Another minor thing i do is that whenever i meet the Greybeards i bow in return to them.

I have two blue butterfly wings which I picked just outside Whiterun, near Honningbrew meadery, the first ever time I visited there, first hour of playing.

Never taken them out of my inventory, still have 'em 60 odd levels later.
