Pregnant?

So many NPC's and none look pregnant. I guess in most rpg they
skip the pregnancy period:) Or maby it's the stork?

Arkay creates the babies (as he is the god of life and death), and Mara brings them into the world.

the people of Skyrim:)

Yeah, it does seem like they'd plant a few pregos in here and there. Unless of course the children come out of Oblivion gates!!!! :obliviongate:

OP: I don't think I've ever seen a pregnant woman in ANY video game I've played. I would be open to the idea though.

Me neither. Well, expect Dead Space. But i'm not sure those things count as "women" :P

Seren, the wife of Rustleif the blacksmith in Dawnstar will tell you she recently found out that she is with child. If you hang around them long enough you'll probably hear one of those random conversations between them where she tries to persuade her husband to move them back to Hammerfell once the baby is born for safety reasons due to the ongoing Civil War.

It might work for a male PC, but unfortunately too much realism in romance would not work too well for a female one.

don't post?

well does the lack of pregnant women surprise you? They can't even make the Jarls unique, let alone get as specific as making pregnant NPCs. And then the women of Skyrim are for the most part warriors, or old. So pregnancy is out of the question.

Yep, no pregnant people. Or short people. Or stocky people. Or fat people. Or unidealized people. Two body types with either a slender, muscular, or in between build. Not really a complaint, just an observation.

i can understand it making the character models easier to work around, but still, would be fun with some nyances:)

Thanks, have to take a trip to Dawnstar and listen to that conversation

I can't see why not, you can see fat and super slim types in other game types, (San Andreas just came to my mind) but it seems that in rpg's it usually are the catwalk type:)

Sure no problem. There was also some flavor dialogue as I recall from her about how she met her husband, how much she works around the forge with her husband and how she'll have to cut back on her work hours once she's further along with the baby. I thought it was very well done, felt organic and exactly how it would be between a young couple that just found out they're going to have a child in the midst of a land in conflict.

Good to hear that even though there aren't pregnant women "running" around, they have implementing the issue in a textual form:)
