Ordering your follower to sleep

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 5:15 pm

This is probably a stupid question, but it's bugging me. When I order a follower to sleep, he gets up again the moment I exit the dialogue. Is this a glitch, am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to work that way?

I would have like them to either sleep until I wake them up, or if I could order them to sleep for a given amount of time. I sometimes like them to sleep, I feel sorry for the poor bastards that have to sit in a chair, or, even worse, stand by my bed all night.

It's not a glitch. It's kind of creepy having them just stand there at times. At least we can make them sit and they'll remain seated until we leave the location through a load screen.

 It is both creepy and peculiar as to why followers never seem to go to bed of their own free will.I never bother with followers now,I just let them do what they like

I remember gettig that dialouge where you tell them to sleep, and i dunno how you do it, as i did it by fluke.

Where you somehow end up saying something like, "let me show you" as in some sort of sixual thing.

Tell your follower to wait. Then hold A or whatever button that opens up the dialogue and then click on the bed. They should stay there.

Interesting. I'll try that. Maybe that will get Lydia to stop yawning. :D

Lol, I noticed this as well.

I'm always trying to get Derkeethus to stay asleep, but since that's not possible I have to sleep right when he lays down.

I've got that dialogue option but it doesn't work either. And yeah, it sounds a little... ambiguous.

I'll try this, thanks :)
