Can someone tell me what the best fortify regen rate/fortify magicka enchantments are once you've got all the necessary perks in enchanting?

I need to know for my new character ??

I think that the best that your character can put onto an item is 25%. Don't take that as scripture, but I know I've seen the discussions about creating four items for a zero-cost-Magic-school-casting (four items of clothing, 25% reduction to school casting cost/article = 100% reduction in cost), which leads me to believe that the maximum that you can enchant a single item is with 25% reduction/regen.

With just the perks in enchanting the most is 25% per item, four items can bring it down to zero. Using exploits, you can bring the reduction to over 100% on a single item.

See, I wasn't entirely sure myself. I'd read that it could be done, but never how you get that done, and I hadn't ever experienced it with one of my own characters. thank you for adding to the info that I provided.

Base Value for Fortify Magicka Regen is +20%
Base Value for Fortify Magicka is +20

If you get your enchanting to 100, you get +25% bonus
If you take all 5 enchanter perk, you get +100% bonus
If you take Corpus Enchanter perk, you get +25% bonus.

So if you take these perks, your Fortify Magicka Regen will be +63% and your Fortify Magicka will be +63.

It gets higher if you use alchemy to help your enchanting.

Thank you :) I'll stick to alchemy on my new playthrough considering I'll be doing the college quests. Thanks again! ??

Generally cost reducing enchants are more effective than increasing your regen rate/magicka pool, but do whatever you think is fun. This UESP page will give you everything you need to know. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Enchanting_Effects#Effect_Charges_and_Strength

Thank you

Welcome. After I posted I realized that you have to do complex math to figure out what the maximum values are from that page because it gives you the formulas and base values, not the actual values at 100 enchant with all perks. Abacus has the right answer though, and the USEP has a lot of other good info on it, like which pieces of gear you can put the enchantments on, etc. Fully perked cost reduction enchant is 25% reduction, by the way, and all of these values can be increased if you drink a fortify enchant potion before enchanting.
