Dawnguard DLC - how are we gonna get it?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:27 pm

Hello everyone!
So I'd like to ask you about the upcoming DLC...
I'm a PS3 player and I'd like to know, when the DLC is out, how will I be able to get it? Is it going to be possible to simply download it? Or will I have to buy a completely new disc?
I ask because I don't know whether it's going to be possible just somehow buy and download the DLC and start the story with my current char, or whether I'll have to make a completely new character etc. I don't really remember how it was with Oblivion, lol.
I'm sorry for my bad english, I hope you understand what I mean.
Thanks for any responses in advance!

You are gonna need playstaition points for the playstation network, you redeem the points, and you download the DLC from the playstation store. I have a xbox 360 so I imagine they work the same.
You will just use the same character, no need to make a new one. Hope this helps.

Generally speaking with Bethesda DLC it is downloaded, and can be started at any point in the main game (assuming you are able to roam freely, so after Helgen in this case).

So I imagine that once it's available it can be downloaded from the PSN store, then once added you will get given a note by a stranger giving you a new quest to begin (the DLC), and then you can choose when to go and do it.

They may do it differently this time, but this is how it normally seems to be done when it comes to this kind of thing.
